Betsy DeVos discovers her Trump University degree lacks clout
GRAND RAPIDS — In an interview with Enterprising Women earlier this week, Betsy DeVos bemoaned the disrespect her Trump University degree receives during job interviews.
“I thought I was aligning myself with a real bastion of academia,” revealed a saddened DeVos. “But most employers won’t even give me the time of day!”
When asked what she liked best about Trump University, DeVos immediately pointed to the wide variety of classes. “I loved some of the electives they offered,” she explained. Some of her favorites: Confidence Trumps Brains, African-American Studies: What You've Got to Lose, and Women in the Workforce: Somebody’s Got to Get the Coffee.
The core business courses were transformative for DeVos, who graduated with a major in "Nasty Women's Studies." She takes great pride in having placed at the top of many of her classes, including The Art of the Steal and How to Get Away with Anything, Even Sexual Assault.
Earlier this year, DeVos embarked on a venture into the real world. She hoped to experience something other than the protected, affluent world she had been accustomed to since birth. Unfortunately, she has struggled to find many employers willing to take a risk on someone who graduated from an unaccredited university.
“After a while, you can’t help but notice the snickers and the eye rolls you get whenever you mention Trump University," she stated. "I can’t help but think that there’s some correlation there.”
