Joe Biden planning to debut new line of sunglasses at 2018 New York Fashion Week
NEW YORK CITY -- Former Vice President Joe Biden, recently named "Coolest V.P. in U.S. history" by People Magazine, is set to release his exclusive line of sunglasses at next year’s New York Fashion Week. The sunglass line is appropriately titled “Malarkey by Joe.” The sunglasses are of the classic aviator style and will be available for men, women, and children.
“No one has ever looked like more of a badass than me wearing my aviators,” Biden joked while holding up a mini-mirror during an interview with his wife on Conan. “I’ve thought about getting into the fashion accessory world for a while now, and sunglasses just made sense.”
The former vice president will personally walk the runways of New York Fashion Week to show off his sunglasses. “I’m a dime piece and you know it, I know it, we all know it,” Biden joked to his wife, Dr. Jill Biden.
All proceeds from his sunglass line will be funneled into the Biden Foundation, newly formed to help prevent violence against women on college campuses and fund cancer research. “Joe is such a wonderful man. He’s leading the fight to cure cancer and in his spare time he’s also branching out to create a line of Dad jeans called Straight off the Ba-rack,” Dr. Biden proudly exclaimed.
Biden's line might find a rival in Ivanka Trump, who is expected to branch out into the sunglasses industry soon. Proceeds for her sunglass line would likely go toward repaying her father's massive debts to foreign banks and oligarchs.
