Rex Tillerson the only American saddened by low cost of gas as he fills his tank
IRVING – ExxonMobil CEO Rex Tillerson received sharp public backlash earlier today after lamenting low gas prices to a group of ABC reporters. Waiting for his Hummer’s tank to fill up at a local Exxon gas station, Tillerson expressed frustration at $1.99 per-gallon prices across Texas.
Tillerson blames President Hillary Clinton’s international policies for the low prices. “There might be a few million Americans here and there who benefit from lower transportation costs, but at the same time there are dozens of oil and natural gas executives who are seeing their company profits diminish. How can our companies survive in this administration?”
Tillerson also expressed disappointment with President Clinton’s continuation of harsh sanctions against Russia. “Russia is now dealing with one of the worst recessions in its history. President Putin—an absolutely lovely man—has come to the United States in good faith, yet he has been stonewalled at every turn. And simply because of a few unfounded hacking allegations.”
Tillerson concluded his impromptu interview by paying for his gas with the company credit card and purchasing a fifth of Stolichnaya vodka, which he said was a gift for a close comrade.
