Did Ted Cruz kill Brittany Murphy?
LOS ANGELES -- Police are reopening their investigation into the 2009 death of "Clueless" actress Brittany Murphy in light of new evidence linking the star to U.S. Senator Ted Cruz.
Murphy, who died in 2009, was originally thought to have died from an accidental drug overdose - a cause of death which was revised to pneumonia and anemia due to toxic mold in her home, after her husband died with symptoms corresponding to such an infestation.
However, New York Times political reporter Glenn Thrush, who has spent the last two months digging into Ted Cruz's pre-politics career as the Zodiac Killer, claims to have discovered evidence that Cruz "has been on a life-long mission to kill all beloved 90s actors."
"I found a little black book with a list of celebrity names in it, all with tiny skull and crossbones drawn next to them in a package sent to my office from Sen. Cruz," Thrush said.
The FBI has since seized the book as evidence while toxicologists assess the possibility that Cruz planted the mold in Murphy's home to inflict a long, painful death.
"Truthfully, yeah, I probably killed her," Cruz said in an interview with the New York Times.
According to law enforcement, Cruz is suspected of framing O.J. Simpson, murdering Vince Foster and killing heartthrob Heath Ledger.
