Clinton raises minimum wage to $12
WASHINGTON D.C. -- President Hillary Rodham Clinton signed legislation raising the federal minimum wage from $7.25 to $12 on Wednesday, delivering on a promise to better the fortune of working people that she made repeatedly on the campaign trail.
In a press release, White House spokeswoman Leslie Jones said that the President hoped to pass further legislation raising the federal minimum wage to $15 by the end of her first term, and called on cities and states to adopt the higher minimum wage if economically feasible.
