Impassioned Clinton labels the NRA "America's leading domestic terrorist organization"
WASHINGTON D.C. -- On Tuesday, President Hillary Rodham Clinton gave a fiery, furious, brilliant speech excoriating the National Rifle Association as "America's leading terrorist organization," calling the group "a sociopathic group of pro-gun, pro-murder, male extremists whose ongoing support for violence poses the single biggest domestic threat to our national security."
Clinton said she was instructing law enforcement agencies to shut down the NRA, "as a terrorist organization that's responsible for killing more Americans than Al Qaeda, Ebola, and heroin combined," she said, obviously livid.
Clinton spoke to reporters in the Rose Garden minutes after news broke that another random male in California had once again embarked on a vicious killing rampage by taking a semiautomatic rifle and two handguns to Rancho Tehama Elementary School, where he proceeded to kill at least five people and wounding two children.
An enraged Clinton said the NRA's obsessive advocacy for more guns and weaker gun laws "stems from a pathetic, deadly and deeply misogynist phallic mythology that encourages men to conflate their power and masculinity with firearms." Clinton said she was "completely unsurprised" to learn from Phil Johnston, assistant sheriff of Tehama County, that the shooter's neighbors reported reported he'd committed an act of domestic violence earlier in the day.
"Of course he committed acts of domestic violence. All mass shooters are guilty of domestic violence. Masculinity is a mental illness, and mentally ill people shouldn't have guns," Clinton said.
Tueday's attack came just days after another gunman, Devin P. Kelley, used military-style assault rifles to massacre 26 people in a Texas church. Clinton called Kelley the "NRA's posterboy," describing him as a domestic abuser who violently assaulted his wife and toddler stepson — cracking the child’s skull, then took revenge on the world by discharging the bullets in his "disgusting penis gun" into a crowd of worshippers when she dumped him. "Ultimately, the NRA radicalized him: he simply put its toxic theory of American masculinity into action. It's time to castrate them," she said.
It was the 15th mass shooting to take place since Clinton took office in January she defeated failed GOP presidential candidate Donald J. Trump by 3 million votes in November's election on a gun confiscation platform.
