Donald Trump Jr. mistakenly shoots neighbor's cat, proudly boasts lion kill
NEW YORK CITY -- Donald Trump’s sons have spent much of their adult lives as trophy hunters. Pictures of murdered jaguars, elephants, and crocodiles circled the internet during their father's failed bid to the White House. Now, Donald Trump Jr. has reclaimed the spotlight, but this time for killing a creature slightly less threatening: his neighbor's cat.
After shooting the cat, Trump tweeted, “Just killed a MASSIVE lion. Toughest kill I’ve made so far, but every challenge helps me grow stronger.” The tweet included a photoshopped image of Trump standing above a lion while holding a rifle.
Suspicions were raised when his neighbor picked up the phone to report her missing cat to the police. With Trump already under investigation for possible ties to Russia and tax evasion, the police checked with him first. Instead, they stumbled upon a frantic Trump digging a grave to bury the cat and hide evidence of his crime.
Trophy hunting in New York is illegal. Trump now faces a minimum of a 2 year jail sentence and a $250,000 fine. His father has stayed quiet on the matter, other than to tweet out his intention to take this case all the way to the Supreme Court.
