Marina Abramovic revealed to be mastermind behind "Donald Trump," her most controversial art project yet
PRAGUE -- Famed conceptual artist Marina Abramovic revealed herself to be the mastermind behind "Donald Trump," her most controversial art project yet.
She said she hired the reality TV star in 2014 to be a "living, moving installation piece" that would reflect America's historic struggle with misogyny and racism.
"We treated the Republican primaries as our canvas," Ambramovic said.
The project stumbled when Trump, the actor, somehow won the Republican primaries. "He went rogue," Ambramovic told the audience at Art Basel. "I have no idea how he pulled that off," she said. Senator Ted Cruz has demanded that the FBI investigate allegations of rohypnol and LSD tainting the water at the GOP convention.
She said she was deeply relieved when he resoundingly lost the election to President Hillary Clinton by more than 3 million votes.
